This recent Masterclass in November 2005 featured Professor Roger La Salle form Australia, an International Speaker and Author on Innovation. Roger is Visiting Professor of Innovation at Queens University Belfast and his visit to Ireland was hosted by the Centre for Competitiveness (Belfast). A professional engineer, successful business entrepreneur and international expert on business innovation, Roger’s highly acclaimed "La Salle Matrix Thinking™” has been adopted by many Australian and international organisations to inspire new breakthrough business opportunities. During his recent visit he hosted engagements in England, Ireland, Fiji, Singapore, New Zealand, USA, Indonesia and China.
During this Masterclass, Roger demonstrated he was a challenging, dynamic, and inspirational speaker who could talk from real life experience. Roger took participants on a journey of discovery into market segments, innovation and “La Salle Matrix Thinking”™. He helped them understand the principles of innovation and how these can virtually eliminate the biggest reason for business plan and market failures. Roger not only gave an inspiring presentation during the morning but also provided participants in the afternoon the opportunity to conceive a new product or business opportunity as well as assess the risk of bringing such an opportunity to market.
Derek Johnston from the Centre for Competitiveness worked with the companies in an interactive session using matrix thinking. The day was not only fun but relevant, innovative and produced the goods!
