Scottish Innovative Actions Programme - Developing a Culture of Innovation in Family Owned EnterprisesAt the start of 2005, the Caledonian Family Business Centre at Glasgow Caledonian University began a Scotland-wide 18-month project to support the particular needs of family business owners who want to increase the level of innovation activity within their businesses. The ‘Developing a Culture of Innovation in Family Owned Enterprises’ project is funded by Glasgow Caledonian University and the Scottish Innovative Actions Programme. The Scottish Innovative Actions Programme 2004-2005, which is part financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), offers a rare opportunity to pilot a range of innovative projects which can make a major contribution towards improving the innovation support system across all sectors of the Scottish economy. Projects supported by the Scottish Innovative Actions Programme will test new approaches to stimulate innovation within small and medium sized (SME) Scottish companies. This will be important to improve Scotland’s overall innovation performance which lags behind our international competitors. The Scottish Innovative Actions Programme is available Scotland wide. It is managed by Strathclyde European Partnership (SEP) Ltd and will run until June 2006. Other information |
